Business Integrity

We hold ourselves to the highest standards and ensure integrity across all our work to deliver sustainable impact.

Options is committed to carrying out its business in a sustainable way so that our work, and that of our partners, delivers lasting impact and does not harm the environments in which we work. We aim to be an equitable employer and strive for a positive employment experience for all our team members.

We have signed the UN Global Compact

Our Code of Conduct reflects the Labour Principles within the UN Global Compact, specifically the upholding and protection of internationally proclaimed human rights. We also adopt a robust approach towards tackling modern slavery and human trafficking, for which our policy and annual statement highlights our commitment to zero tolerance. This includes any form of slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour in our own processes or that of our supply chain.

We care about our environment

We continually look at how to improve our practices to contribute to sustainability and limit any adverse impact on the environment. We expect all our partners and suppliers to adopt the same high standards and take this into account through our due diligence procedures with specific requirements, as necessary, in any contracts we issue. Options is committed to becoming net zero by 2050, as highlighted in our 2023 Carbon Reduction Plan.

We are committed to the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity

We are committed to the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity in our business activities, and we provide an environment which safeguards all clients, sub-contractors, staff, consultants, associates and beneficiaries of our programmes. Our dignity at work policy sets the working culture for all staff, consultants and sub-contractors, all of whom uphold standards of behaviour set out in our Code of Conduct. We regularly review, update and roll out our policies, and apply a strong emphasis on those for ensuring high standards of safeguarding, whistleblowing and anti-fraud and bribery in which we take a zero-tolerance approach. This is assessed during our procurement and due diligence processes when engaging third parties.

We are committed to ensuring diversity, equity and inclusion across our organisation

As a diverse global organisation, Options embraces and aims to improve how we draw upon the multi-faceted skills, experiences and perspectives of our colleagues, to deliver our objectives and be an exemplary workplace for people from all backgrounds. We set ourselves targets for diversity, equity and inclusion which we monitor regularly to ensure that we live the values we espouse. See our Values page for more detail.
