Lucia Laboso

Global Health Associate 

Lucia Laboso is an advocacy, accountability and programme management specialist with over 15 years’ experience in global health and international development.  

Lucia worked under the Evidence for Action (E4A) MamaYe! programme managed by Options Consultancy Services Ltd. Lucia was initially the Kenya Country Lead and then served as Project Director, providing strategic, technical and managerial leadership towards improved policies and investments for reproductive Maternal Newborn Child and Adolescent (RMNCAH) in Nigeria and Kenya.  

Lucia is keen on shifting power and responsibility to local actors and communities to move the needle in global development. Through rights- and evidence-based approaches, she has worked with diverse stakeholders to ensure policies, plans and budgets deliver transformative change for women and girls. She has been actively involved in building movements, voices and strengthening capacity of grassroots champions, proximate civil society groups, and networks towards sustainable actions and outcomes responsive to local priorities. 

Lucia holds an MA in Education, Gender and International Development from University College London among other qualifications.
