Deputy Team Lead, The Girl Generation, Support to the Africa-led Movement to End FGM/C

Angela is passionate about improving the lives of young women and girls to ensure they thrive and survive. She believes this is done by strengthening sustainable community systems, increasing demand for and access to quality health services with a strong focus on putting girls at the centre, promoting sexual and reproductive health continuum of care, and safeguarding.

As Deputy Team Lead for The Girl Generation, Support to the Africa-led Movement to End FGM/C, she provides operational and administrative oversight to the programme. She manages the team to ensure efficient and high-quality programme delivery, and supports the Team Leader on the strategic management of the consortium by fostering and coordinating relationships with the programme partners. Angela draws on her background in social development, public health and humanitarian work with experience working for various NGOs in Kenya and East Africa, to improve the health and lives of vulnerable communities.
