Time to deliver: Unlocking Universal health coverage in Kenya

As part of Options’ 30th anniversary celebrations, we hosted a panel discussion on the topic ‘Time to deliver: Unlocking universal health coverage in Kenya’ which was followed by a networking reception in Nairobi on 23 November 2022.

The discussion was chaired by Options’ Global Practice Specialist Elizabeth Wala, and the panel included key health sector stakeholders, such as:

• Hon. Susan Nakhumicha – Health Cabinet Secretary
• Hon. Lewis Nguyai – Chairman of Kenya’s National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF)
• Dr. Amit Thakker – Chairman of the Kenya Health Professions Oversight Authority
• Kathra Ali – Director of Health Services, Council of Governors, Kenya
• Dr. Isabella Maina – Head of Finance, Head of Finance, Ministry of Finance, Kenya

With about 50 high level delegates and seven media houses (Nation Media Group- Business Daily/Daily Nation and NTV, Radio Africa/The Star, People Daily, Royal Media- Radio Citizen) in attendance, the event was a great success.
