Our partnerships
Improvements in health cannot be achieved in isolation. We bring together organisations and individuals with the diverse range of skills and expertise needed to achieve results. We develop open, collaborative and flexible partnerships that put transparency and inclusivity at the heart of programme delivery. And we draw extensively on national expertise by ensuring local partners play a leading role in the delivery of programmes.
We partner with:
National governments – we work in close partnership with national governments to develop evidence-based policies and strategies across the health and social sectors, and to plan, manage and deliver high-quality health services. We engage in long-term, successful partnerships with government counterparts to strengthen local leadership, and encourage innovation in the pursuit of sustainable development.
Donors and international development partners – we are one of UKAid's leading providers of health sector expertise and have a long track record in the successful delivery of complex programmes. We work flexibly with a range of donors to design and deliver programmes that produce results and offer value for money. We also work to foster donor coordination and aid effectiveness across health, WASH and nutrition.
NGOs, civil society and advocacy organisations – we work with national NGOs and civil society organisations to build local platforms that promote accountability and responsiveness of governments and service providers.
Academic, research and consultancy organisations – we collaborate with academic and research partners to ensure that policy, planning and budgeting decisions are informed by the latest evidence.
