We’ll be joining women’s right advocates at Women Deliver 2023 in July to discuss innovations in increasing access to self-managed medical abortion, and explore the key role of girl-centered programming in ending female genital mutilation and cutting (FGM/C).

This event will showcase recent innovations in increasing access to self-managed medical abortion (MA). It will provide a space to discuss both the potential and challenges of increasing access to self-managed MA in sub-Saharan Africa, and to foster networking and action among participants.

Hosted by the Options’ led ‘The Girl Generation’ programme and Amref Health Africa, this session will explore the key role of girl-centered programming in ending FGM/C as well as the importance of the emotional and mental well-being of survivors and front-line activists.
