Conducting studies to inform the design of family planning services

We conducted qualitative studies to inform the design of family planning and reproductive health services in selected countries.

Partners

Options worked with Marie Stopes International and Ipas to conduct qualitative studies to inform the design of family planning and reproductive health services in selected countries. Options conducted participatory research using the PEER methodology to provide an in-depth understanding of the social context of reproductive health decision-making and health seeking behaviour, particularly in relation to pregnancy. The studies took place in eight countries (Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, Zambia and Zimbabwe) and produced actionable recommendations informing the design of service delivery and communications strategies to expand women’s access to family planning and reproductive health services.
