Bangladesh, Urban Health Systems Strengthening Programme (UHSSP)

Placing products and technologies in the hands of women and girls

We will increase our use of products and technologies which enhance the power of women and girls to control their own health. This includes such devices as self-administered long acting contraception, and drugs for medical abortion.

We will use our demonstrated approaches in participatory research and social change to enable women and girls to be both drivers and beneficiaries of the latest products and technologies that enhance their health and well-being.

The impact we will achieve:

  • Girls self-administering reproductive health and other health enhancing products
  • Technology used for timely detection and management of health and nutrition conditions
