Sara Nam, PhD

Global Health Associate

Sara Nam is a Registered Midwife, a Nurse and gained a PhD in Epidemiology on HIV treatment failure and ART adherence. She is a public health professional with extensive experience in low- and middle income countries and humanitarian settings.

Sara applies a health systems thinking approach in providing technical expertise in the design, delivery, evaluation and operational research of maternal and newborn health services, infectious disease interventions and sexual and reproductive health. Areas of specific interest include quality improvement and measurements of quality of care; strengthening the use of data for decision-making; accountability mechanisms and skills building for health professionals.

Her country experience includes: Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Liberia, South Sudan, DRC, Kenya, Malawi, Botswana, Zambia, Afghanistan, Uganda, Cambodia, Nepal and Haiti.
