Position

Options is seeking a Team Leader for an anticipated programme focusing on ‘Empowering Survivors of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Sexual Harassment’ (ES-SEAH). The anticipated programme will aim to increase reporting of SEAH perpetrated by aid actors and strengthen survivor-centred responses.

Specifically, this component of the programme will engage Women’s Rights Organisations (WROs) alongside action research through a pilot to test what works in at least three different country contexts to support prevention and response to SEAH. Key priorities of the programme include:

  • Develop effective SEAH reporting mechanisms that are contextual and accessible.
  • Partner with WROs to receive and respond to SEAH reports.
  • Build the evidence base on ‘what works?’ for a survivor-centred approach, informed by survivors themselves.
  • Work closely with the UN on component 2 of the programme (which will focus on supporting UN efforts to prevent and respond to SEAH perpetrated by UN personnel).

The Team Leader will play a crucial role in providing inspirational, strategic, technical and managerial oversight to the programme implementation team, which comprises a consortium of partners. Specifically, the Team Leader will provide overall programme leadership and consortium management. They will provide high level technical leadership across the programme, ensuring the different parts of the programme are coordinated, delivered to a high quality, and on track to achieve intended results. They will be responsible for appropriate resourcing of technical expertise, course correction and adaptation. They will manage the core programme team to ensure oversight of both technical and operational aspects of the programme.

The Team Leader will be directly accountable for ensuring the successful delivery of the programme, ensuring that objectives and outcomes are achieved within designated timelines and budgets. Serving as the primary point of contact for engagement with FCDO and for key partners, beneficiaries and stakeholders, the Team Leader will cultivate strong relationships and facilitate effective communication and collaboration. Additionally, the role entails promoting knowledge exchange across Options’ programmes and nurturing relationships with current and potential clients, stakeholders and partners.

This is a fixed-term contract for the life of the programme (est. 5 years). Please note: this position is contingent upon funding being awarded to Options.
