Watch the recording of our event on strengthening primary health care delivery and accountability in Nigeria with the NPHCDA and Nigeria UHC Forum.
Options co-hosted an event with the Nigeria National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) and UHC Forum on 15 August 2024 in Abuja to discuss how to harness multi-stakeholder approaches to strengthening primary health care delivery and accountability in Nigeria. The objective of the event was to foster a sense of shared ownership among stakeholders to accelerate progress towards universal health coverage and improve maternal and newborn health outcomes in the country.
It also saw the launch of the strategic plan of the MamaYe Africa! Collective, a membership platform that unites State-Led Accountability Mechanisms (SLAMs) and coalitions to champion grassroots-led initiatives that advocate for access to quality healthcare for women, children and girls. The Collective was established under our Evidence for Action (E4A) – MamaYe programme, which ran from 2012 to 2024.
Speakers were joined 300 participants, both in-person and virtually.
