Technical Specialist: Programme Design
You will lead design discussions on key technical bids, and write expressions of interest, concept notes and technical proposals, bringing innovative technical approaches into design of new programmes. In close collaboration with the rest of the New Business team, you will conduct scoping visits to identify new opportunities, identify partner organisations for new programmes, and develop strong relationships to ensure we build winning consortia. You will help Options keep abreast of latest technical thinking in health sector development, and the strategies and approaches of existing and new clients. You will also represent Options as external events to raise awareness of our programmes, results and success stories.
Approximately 30% of your time will be spent on technical implementation of existing programmes in Africa and Asia, contributing to ensuring technical excellence in our programme delivery.
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated health sector specialist, with a keen interest in designing new programmes, and developing partnerships to support Options’ growing portfolio of programmes across Africa and Asia. You will have technical expertise in health sector development/international development (with a relevant post graduate qualification). Experience in programme design, proposal development and providing technical expertise to programme implementation is essential. We are also looking for experience in engaging at senior level with potential partner organisations, clients and governments in the countries where Options works. A strong communicator, you will be able to work independently as well as a part of a busy team often working to tight deadlines.
The post is based in our London office, with regular overseas travel.
