As Options’ Technical Advisor you will contribute actively to the growth and development of the organisation and to the delivery of its mission. The role will involve the delivery of consultancy services to Options-led programmes overseas, through visits and remote support. You will also work pro-actively with colleagues to generate new ideas to expand Options’ portfolio of work, and contribute to proposal development.
The post is London based but will include overseas travel
You will have an MSc or PhD in a relevant field. With excellent analytical and problem solving skills, the Technical Advisor will be competent in monitoring programme results, and have experience of working in African and/or Asian countries for a period exceeding one year. You will have demonstrated capacity for providing independent technical assistance in your area of expertise. You will also have experience of developing capacity of in-country counterparts and working with local stakeholders and clients. Monitoring and evaluation skills are essential and skills in advocacy, social change communications or accountability approaches, are desirable.
