As Programme Manager you will be responsible for the effective and efficient project management for a variety of clients. You will be responsible for building close relationships with overseas clients as well as contributing to the strategic planning of designated projects.
The Programme Manager will work closely with other Options teams. You will work with the Finance Team on all aspects of financial management related to overseas programmes. The Programme Manager will also work closely with the Business Development team to provide technical and financial input to help the development of specific proposals.
Other responsibilities will include supporting the Programme Management team as a whole as well as providing flexible support to colleagues across Options Teams as required.
This position will specifically support two multi-country programmes focusing on ending Female Genital Mutilation, although the portfolio of this post is subject to potential change as Options secures future contracts.
You will have a proven project management track record in international development. You will have experience of building successful relationships with clients, collaborators and consultants; supporting technical development, ensuring financial viability and negotiating contracts. Experience in distance management of relationships between a head office and an internationally based team is essential. Knowledge of current international health issues would be an advantage, in particular social development and violence against women and girls. A confident self-starter, you will have excellent communication skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-moving and complex environment.
