Options is leading on TA learning forum between States in India |
Options has set up a forum to document and share lessons from its intensive work with State Governments to strengthen health systems. Technical Assistance (TA) teams from five DFID-supported states in India – Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh – hold regular knowledge exchange meetings. These forums, together with follow up exchanges at individual, group and e-health levels, have allowed the TA teams to share and discuss issues relating to all states. Many themes such as human resource management, community engagement, integration of health and nutrition, malaria monitoring, and financing cut across all states. TA teams exchange approaches and possible solutions to a range of health systems strengthening agendas and can present joint approaches or questions to DFID and other international donors. The forums also provide and promote peer support and learning across the teams and with Government colleages.
